Class Types
Choose how you want to learn with me! All classes are in-person.
One-on-one
Your lessons will be completely tailored to your individual needs.
In a pair*
Bring a friend or family member to learn alongside you and grow together.
*Both students must be a similar skill level.
All prices are in Canadian dollars.
Policies
Age Policy
All students registered with me must be 13 years of age or older. In Canada, this is 7th or 8th grade.
Why is this?
- Children under 13 usually have a harder time staying focused for an hour, especially if the lesson is in a different language.
- It would be harder for me to schedule shorter lessons to accommodate and calculate a fee for a class under an hour.
Student Policy
At this time, I cannot accept international students within Nova Scotia as defined by Nova Scotia's Language School Act.
Due to time constraints, lack of resources, and higher learning needs, I cannot accept students whose skill level is A1 according to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference).
Students are expected to use English during appointments.
My services are not available to students with English as their first or native language.
Payment Policy
All payments must be made through a bank eTransfer or by Paypal.
- A valid email address is required to send an invoice.
- If using eTransfer, please send me the answers to any security questions attached to the payment.
- I reserve the right to deny service to someone if I find the email or contact information they have provided is intentionally false.
If a payment is not made 14 days after an invoice is issued, any further classes you have with me will be suspended until the payment is made. Your usual appointment time may be given to another student during suspension.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel a class, please give me 24 hours' notice to avoid a cancellation charge (the day before the class).
Same-day cancellations will not be accepted and you will be charged the full amount for the missed class.
Why is this?
- I understand that emergencies or other problems can happen at the last minute. However, I would like to use my time to teach others and it wouldn't be fair to them if I wasn't teaching during work hours because of a sudden cancellation.
Frequently missed classes or payments will result in the dismissal of the student.
